SCORING AND SCORECARDS:

One member of each group should record all four players' scores on the GG app.  Scoring can be accessed by logging in with username/password on the GG app.  Golf Genius will be the official score for this tournament.  You are encouraged to keep a paper scorecard but it will not be handed in at the end of the round.

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT EACH PLAYER COMPARES HIS HOLE SCORES ON THE PHONE WITH THOSE ON THE PAPER SCORECARD AFTER THE ROUND, TO MAKE SURE THEY'RE THE SAME, AND ACCURATE.

The member of each group that recorded all four players' scores on the GG app is asked to

take a Photo of the signed scorecard and text to Pete Hammer (602-809-1171)

This Rule of Competition is supplemental to the USGA Rules regarding scorecard responsibilities and errors and applies to the weekly RAZZ.

PENALTY AREAS/DROP AREAS: There are RED penalty areas just past the cart paths behind the greens on 5, 9, and 18.  Use the drop areas behind the greens.  There are two behind # 5; use the one closest to where your ball entered the penalty area.  The forward tee box on 11 is also a drop area.

RULES: PMGA play is governed by the USGA Rules, and the PMGA Local Rules.  It is recommended to download the USGA Rules App to your phone and become familiar how to navigate through it.

NOTE: Papago has returned to pre-COVID/normal course conditions

  • The foam donuts are removed from the cups.
  • Rakes are back in the bunkers.  That means play it as it lies in the bunker; no more free relief.  (It also means to dust off your bunker-raking skills; always try to leave the bunker in the condition you'd want to find it).
  • Flagsticks can be removed or left in at your discretion.
  • Masks are still required indoors, and we highly encourage that everyone continue to be diligent about social distancing and wearing masks even outdoors when you're in groups and close proximity.
